West Michigan Dance Festival

Introducing the first annual West Michigan Dance Festival! WMDF connects local dancers with opportunities to train with master teachers in our community and beyond. Join us August 10th-11th in Kalamazoo at The Space Dance Company for two days of classes in a variety of styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, improvisation, yoga, and more taught by local company directors, dance professors, and choreographers. On Saturday evening, local choreographers will present an intimate performance at Jolliffe Theatre in the Epic Center located in Downtown Kalamazoo.
This event is open to Intermediate and Advanced dancers ages 14+. Full weekend, single-day, or individual class registration is available. Tickets to the showcase are included for dancers participating in the full weekend intensive. Questions? Contact us at westmichigandancefestival@gmail.com.

Scholarship Opportunities
We would like to invite high school dancers (2024 graduates included) to apply for our Full Festival Scholarship, featuring a free full-weekend pass to the entirety of WMDF and showcase!
To apply, dancers must submit a minimum of 150 words answering this question: “How will attending the West Michigan Dance Festival positively impact my dance community?” to westmichigandancefestival@gmail.com by Monday, July 29, 2024. Please include dancer’s name and home studio in submission. One winner will be announced on Friday, August 2nd.
